The Last Manned Fighter eBook Yuna Wong Reviews
THIS is the way to think about the future. This novella has one foot in the present and one foot in the future, so it's credible, but it also "thinks outside the box."
Above all else, it's eminently readable -- you just keep on flying through until you get to the end. Wong deserves credit for avoiding two mistakes that other authors attempting the same thing might have committed
#1 Too much fiction is simply escape literature, but this is more than that.
#2 Too many thinkers who ruminate on the future get bogged down in cumbersome, systematic predictions about how things will look decades or centuries later. Wong makes things feel right; she knows that fiction needs to ring true.
"The Last Manned Fighter" is a science fiction novella. Although, I'm not totally familiar with this genre or with some of the technical jargon and terms used by Author Yuna Wong, I would have to say that this author has much potential.
The dialogue is good between the characters as is the description of events taking place as the last manned fighter, piloted by Major Hollins, heads out to Korea. She is expecting an easy, routine type of flight. Much to the dismay of all those involved, this does not happen. Aimee witnesses the disaster from afar and is left wondering why this flight ever happened in the first place. There are many unanswered questions that may become clearer if or when this novella becomes a full-sized book where the plot and the characters can be more fully developed...good effort for sure by Author Yuna Wong.

I chose three stars because the idea behind the story was an excellent one and the author did a fair job of getting it out there.
Although in common usage,the term "fighter jet"should only be found in children's books. Sorry,a personal bugaboo there.
With a little polish and focus on details, it might make the opening to a good book.
